Who We Are

The Blue Cross Animal Hospital was established over 50 years ago. Dr. Ester Rodriguez took over the practice in 1986 and has owned and operated it ever since. Although the animal hospital has changed locations three times within a half mile radius, many of our clients continue to bring in their furry friends. Our clients in turn truly appreciate us and we appreciate them.

We are a low cost veterinarian clinic for dogs and cats. Our goal is to make veterinary care affordable to our clients without compromising our quality of service. We do this by offering low cost veterinary services including spays, neuters, and vaccinations as well as other surgical procedures. We have four veterinarians on staff; Dr. Ester M Rodriguez has been the primary veterinarian for over 20 years now. Dr. Alex Madriaga joined us in 2010 and handles our shot clinic on Saturdays. In June of 2011 Dr. Sean M. Rodriguez joined our staff of doctors after completing his degree from Western University and his internship at VCA California Animal Hospital in Los Angeles. We were very fortunate to add Dr. Jonathan Friedberg to the BCAH staff in March 2012. Dr. Friedberg also completed his degree at Western University and his internship at Animal Specialty Group (ASG) in Los Angeles.

Blue Cross Animal Hospital is family-owned and operated right here in Montclair, CA. Since our company opened, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services are affordable and come with a personal touch.
